We got there on Thursday morning and got to spend all of Thursday at home relaxing and getting ready for all the guests on Friday. Vivi figured out how to play the recorder, snuggled with her Mimi, Papa, and Dede, and showed off her walking talents for every one.
I got a (a lot of) hair cut! And Vivi also learned to point! It's amazing to be able to hand your baby to a loving family member and watch them interact. After two months of being in Missouri with just me and Asa, Vivi loves having a new face to see and glasses to grab, and I love watching their relationships grow.
Friday was spent partying and celebrating with our families!
And going to graduation! Now, the actual graduation was probably the worst part of the whole weekend. It was late and long and loud and the girls couldn't make it through. So, Asa and I didn't actually get to see Emily walk across the stage, but she did amazing!
Short trips like this are always hard. We want to stay longer, but the Army says Asa has to be back at a certain time. Saying goodbye is so hard. Marley cried several times over leaving everyone, and that breaks my heart. I want both girls to get to see her family every day and I hate being the one to take them away. Hopefully, everyone can come for Vivi's birthday in a month! We would have an amazing party!
