The Christmas Parade

Tonight was the downtown Christmas parade!  We went a little early so that we could go into a few stores before getting a good seat at the parade.  Vivi was exhausted!

We stopped at a little park with angels and a nativity scene made from Christmas lights.  Marley actually wanted me to take her picture, so I was all about that!

Marley has been insisting we bring Maggie everywhere for the last few days.  So, Maggie came with us to the parade also.  And Marley was sure to always feed her let us know to be wuiet when Maggie was sleeping!

 We went into two stores, but the streets were really filling up so we wanted to find a spot sooner.

 We walked to the Methodist church, where Marley goes to school.  They were having a live nativity scene, so we watched that for a while and then decided to stay there to watch the parade in some nice grass instead of on the sidewalk!

Marley wasn't as into the parade as I thought she would be.  Maybe if we hadn't had so many people competing for the view, she would have been able to see better.  But she did watch from everyone's shoulders for a while and she ran around in the grass when she got bored.  Which was perfectly fine with me, because the more energy she uses up, the easier she falls asleep!

Oh, and of course she fed Maggie, also!  She is such a good Momma!

Vivi had a great time.  She watched the lights, nursed, whimpered for Mommy, and snuggled with Mimi and Dede.  Typical Vivi stuff!

I am definitely in the Christmas spirit!  I am already done shopping for Marley and Vivi and we even have gifts wrapped under the tree already!  This is one of my favorite times of the year, so I am trying to really enjoy it and soak it all up!
