We found a turtle in the backyard today! Henry was barking at a plant, and then turning around to look at us like he really needed us to come see what was going on! So, Joel went over, thinking he was going to find a snake, but instead he found a cute little turtle!
Surprisingly, Marley was actually okay with the idea of holding him, and we named him Franklin. Henry just wanted to keep barking at him, trying to convince him to come out and play!
I told her that her Daddy would be so excited to find out she had held a turtle. I also told her all about the box turtle and Greg the Turtle, both turtles that we had before she was born. Maybe our Franklin will live in the backyard for a while and we can keep checking on him. She would love that job!
