Our Artist

Marley got this easel for Christmas from my grandparents. We got her some dry erase markers and an eraser for the other side, but she had never played with the chalkboard side. But yesterday, I got motivated, found some chalk, and showed her what to do!She loved it! When she colors on a piece of paper, it usually only lasts for a few minutes. But, she did this for close to 30! She drew all kinds of things and then had a blast erasing it and starting over.
This "sun" was the first thing that I have taught her how to draw, and she actually remembered. And it actually looks kind of like what it's supposed to! I told her to draw a circle and then draw lots of lines going out from the circle. She really got it, was definitely proud of herself when she had finished. She also drew me some boats, which I didn't get a picture of. She drew a Daddy boat, Mommy boat, and Baby boat. I love that she is actually interested in drawing object now, instead of just making lines on a piece of paper! I can't wait to see all of her future artwork!
