Marley is a year and a half old!
Some of her favorite things to do these days are knock on doors, spin around in a circle dancing, look for squirrels out the windows, listen to the birds outside, help her Mimi fold the sheets and towels, line her ducks up on the bath tub, listen to people talk to her on the phone, and talk about Daddy. She has also been starting to notice who certain things belong to, which is really interesting to me. She points to my purse and says Mama, or points to Papa's shirt and says Papa. She can also say "car" pretty regularly!
Oh, and she loves to count her toes!
She will normally say "tee toe tee toe tee toe" while she touches each toe. And this past weekend my Mimi taught her to say "two," so now when we say "one" she responds with "two"!
For some reason it seems like this past month has gone by really quickly, more quickly than most months. She has been sick for literally the entire month, but at the same time she seems really happy. It is so easy to make her laugh now and she is catching on to how to play the little games that we play with her. For examples, I burped pretty loud last night and she just thought it was hilarious. She signed "more" but I told her to do it, because I couldn't repeat it. So, she made her very best burp impression and it was hilarious! She is so much fun to be with now, so interactive and happy most of the time. Sleeping is still not going well, but I am not going to worry about fixing that for good until she isn't sick anymore. I have started to only nurse her every other time I go in there. She wakes up about every hour still! So, one time I will nurse her and she goes right back down, and then the next time I just sit with her and pat her back. She will cry for a couple of minutes, but then she gives it up. Hopefully, she will start realizing there isn't really a reason to wake up!
She is starting to get really helpful with different little projects. Oh, and she is going to be a very organized woman! She loves to sort things and "count" them. She will make separate stacks of things or spend 10 minutes just moving something from one bowl to another. In Missouri, she spent 30 minutes with my mom moving rocks from the pot they came from, to a bowl, and back again. She is going to be a little perfectionist, I bet! She wants everything organized just her way!
Anytime she hurts me, she will always kiss it and say Mama in a really sweet way. She hates to see me sad and totaly sucks up to me if she does something that frustrates me! I'm so proud of her and I couldn't ask for a sweeter little girl. Her Daddy and I are very very lucky!
