Well, I took Marley to the doctor this morning and here is the scoop. First of all, she weigh 17 pounds!! But... she has an ear infection in both ears, congestion, a cough and symptoms that could lead to RSV (don't know what it stands for, but I know it's a really bad virus). So, she prescribed three different things: ear drops, cough and congestion stuff, and RSV-preventer. I asked about what the temperature should be to call the doctor in the middle of the night and it's 102.
It all makes sense now. For a while Marley has not been wanting to eat on my right side. She cries and cries until I stick her on the other side. Her poor head was hurting the whole time... I thought she just didn't like that side. And in the middle of the night she will whimper while she is sleeping until I get her from her left side onto the back. I feel so bad that I didn't get it together sooner. I should have put it all together. I hope all this stuff works though, and I am lucky it didn't get any worse. I don't want to be one of those moms that rushes her baby to the doctor the second she does something different, but I think I waited a little too long this time. I'm sorry, Marley.
Then, when I went to pick up my prescriptions, there was one that had "MIX" written on it big letters. I got home and opened all them and found that it was in powder form. So, I called the pharmacy back and asked if I was supposed to mix this with water or breast milk. Turns out, they screwed up! The "mix" message was meant for someone in the pharmacy. That's scary!
So, now she is passed out from all the medicine she is taking.
Oh, now she's up.
