Wonderful Day

Today was a wonderful day.  It seems like we have been really busy lately, especially in the mornings.  But this morning, we relaxed at the house.  It felt a little weird at first, not to be heading out the door.  But I also got to spend a lot of time focusing on my little girls and loving on them.

Marley and I built a Lego Zoo.

Vivi slept late this morning and woke up in a fabulous mood.  So, we took a morning bath for fun!  It was a great way to enjoy both the girls in a good mood!
Check out those arm rolls!

After bath time, we got dressed and went outside for a while.  When Joel was building the playground, I had this fantasy in my head that in the fall we would be outside every day.  Marley would be playing on the playground and the baby would be laying on a blanket watching her.  Today that was a reality.  And it was perfect.

Vivi got to ride in the swing for the first time! She reacted about the same way Marley did her first time: she got sleepy!

Joel and Marley had acorn races down the slide!  Marley has a new favorite game!

We had a picnic outside for lunch.  Henry really wanted to be a part of our picnic also!

We also baked today!  When I was pregnant, Marley and I made these muffins and kept them in the freezer and warmed one up when she wanted it.  We also made some cookies.  I was nervous about making them because they are pretty healthy!  But I was wrong, Marley loved them!  She ate four after dinner and I didn't even have to feel bad about it!  I love Weelicious.com, the website I got these recipes from.  If I want a new recipe for something for Marley, this is where I go first.  And all the recipes I get from Weelicious are Joel-approved!
I am so happy we had this little day "off" from our busy schedule.  We did got to the post office to send Asa his birthday package and the grocery store to get some ingredients for our baking.  But I could tell the girls loved relaxing at home for most of it.  We had a perfect day!

It only could have been better with Asa.
