A Picnic at the Park
Today, Marley and I went to Lufkin and had our own little picnic at a park. The parks in Nacogdoches just really aren't very great, so when I saw this park in Lufkin I knew we had to come back! Marley is loving picnics these days. I really think that before today we had only had two legitimate picnic, but every time she has a rag or a blanket, she spreads it out, gets her play food, and has a picnic on the floor. So, she loved helping me pack up fruit, carrots, and sandwiches for our picnic today.
Can you believe her hair?! She kept pointing out, "The wind blowin' my hairs!" I just can't get over how long it is!

After our picnic, we played on two different playgrounds. Well, Marley did most of the playing while I took pictures.

She even found a new piece of equipment she likes! She is normally pretty scared of bridges or things that she has to take big steps for. But she saw another little girl doing this, and stepped right on like a pro!
You can tell in this picture how hot it was. 90 degrees! Marley had that played-so-hard-in-the-sun little kid smell and rosy cheeks. And all that hair? It was sticking right to her forehead!

And what makes our girl happier than ice cream on a hot day?! Who am I kidding, she loves ice cream on any day!

Our last stop was Target to pick up some baby items. On our way in I asked Marley if she remembers going to the park with Daddy in Missouri. She said,"Yes, I think he really like this park too!" So, she wants to take him there when he gets here.
As we drove home, Marley said "Mommy, this was a fun twip!"
