Springfield

On Friday, Asa and I decided to go spend the night in Springfield! The weather wasn't going to be great, so we looked up a few things we could do indoors. We got to Springfield pretty early, so we had time to actually get to the hotel, change clothes, do some geochaching, and then get to dinner at Outback! I technically found a geocache! Asa was about to give up, but I told him to look in one more palce, and there it was!

We had a great dinner, followed by dessert! Then Malrey went to sleep while Asa and I watched NCIS. Saturday morning, we woke up and got ready for the Discovery Center. Asa has been wanting to go to a place like this, but we will have to keep looking for one that is really exciting because this one was not. There wasn't a whole lot Marley could do by herself, it was really expensive, and it just wasn't very well taken care of. But, I think MArley still had fun being somewhere new!

She did LOVE shopping though!

And the ice cream she got at the gift shop! It sprinkled for an hour or so while we ate lunch, and then the clouds cleared and we were surrounded by blue skies! We did some geocaching around town and then found a cute little park to walk around.

She loved watching the fish, and kept saying "Dada" and doing the sign for fish. She thinks fish means Daddy is going fishing!

She watched the ducks and said "Mimi! Papa!" because she remembers feeding the ducks with them!

We found a few caches in the park and Marley got to play on the playground for a while.
We headed home after we finished looking around the park. We would have loved to stay another night, but we had tons of things to do before leaving Monday morning. I love these little weekend getaways though! Next time we will have to go to one of the state parks around our house!
