Donna has a huge backyard with tons of space and things to keep the kids busy. I can tell Billy loves being there, just like Marley loves my mom and Joel's backyard. Kids need space like that to run around and just be kids.
I hope one day we can get Marley a little playground like this. Asa promises he is going to build her one when we have our own house. For now I guess we will have to settle for driving to the playground.
It took Marley a little while to get comfortable enought to go with Billy without me. But eventually she decided it might be fun!
She was also really nervous about the dogs. Since we don't have Kima anymore, she is not used to them being around. But I showed her how gentle they were and told her they just wanted to give her kisses. So, she let them and she squealed when they licked her. She even kissed them back by leaning up to the fence and kissing the air. It was adorable.

She also got to pick blackberries with Grandma. She doesn't eat them at home, but something about getting be a part of the picking and washing process made them taste much better!
And then everyone got to feed the fish. Marley's ew things is to name everything the Mama, Dada, and Baby. So in the backyard we have Mama birds, Dada birds, and Baby birds. In the fish pond we had Mama fish, Dada fish, and Baby fish!
And then we all rested in the swing.
We went inside and built a village of blocks and had a wonderful lunch. She actually built some pretty tall towers. I'm embarrassed to admit that I didn't think she had the coordination to build a tall block tower. But she does!Hopefully we can go back a few more times before we have to leave! She was exhausted by the time we left and that's always good!
