Marley was nervous about it from the second the dolphin started coming up. She wanted me to hold her while my mom blew it up, and then just sat in my mom's lap staring at it for a while.
I gave in and went to put my swim suit on in hopes that she would want to get in with me, but my plan did not work. We convinced her to put her feet in , but that was as far as she was willing to go!
So, we moved on to the water mat! She loved this thing last summer and spent many afternoons sitting on it. I remember my mom saying that next summer she would be running all over the yard and running through this water mat. I remember feeling like that was so far away and I just couldn't imagine us there. But here we are!
She was much more happy with this activity!
Last but not least, we moved on to the sprinkler ball! This is a new addition to the backyard, and Marley thought it was awesome! She probably ran 50 laps, all around the ball while it sprayed her all over. I chased her, my mom chased her, and then when we were tired she chased herself! She had so much fun!
Once she finally got tired, we took a break and had a popsicle! She insisted that it did not need to be in the packaging, so she spent a while trying to get it in her mouth. But she loved it once it got there!
She had so much fun, and we are still going out there every day to do it again! She is definitely a summer girl!
