Marley's first Easter celebration of the year was at Grandma's house this year. Her first Easter was last year, but she wasn't old enough to hunt for eggs. I was nervous that she wouldn't care about it, but I was wrong. She loved it! Two of her older cousins were there, and they were great sports and waited for her to get a few before they started.
She caught on immediately, and only had trouble when she had to stick her hand in the bushes to get the egg. In the picture above, she got poked in the face by a stick while she was going for the egg, so she quickly changed her mind and we had to get it.
She looked adorable in her Easter dress from my Mimi. She looks so big! And her hair is crazy long!
She got so good at finding them, but needed Daddy's help for a few of them.
She also caught on quickly to the whole candy thing, of course! There wasn't much she could eat, since most of it was for the older kids, but she got a few bites. She made up her own sign for "open" a few weeks ago, so she let us know she wanted us to open up each one.
It was such a warm, beautiful day and Marley ended up with pink cheeks and a basket full of eggs! She was a happy, tired girl when we left!
