It snowed this afternoon! In Nacogdoches! In December! Obviously, it didn't snow hard enough to stick and we didn't get to really touch any other than what hit us in the head. But I still wanted Marley to be out there enjoying it. She had actually just woken up from a nap. I spent a little time hanging out in bed with her and then we casually walked into the living room. But as soon as I looked out the window and saw the snow, it was a mad dash to get ourselves dressed and out the door. I had no idea how long it would last and I did not want to miss it! So, I might have accidentally knocked Marley over and she might have bumped her head on the dresser, but hey, we were in a hurry to get to the snow! I really could not get her smile at all when we first got out there. It wasn't until Joel came out and started kicking the ball around with her that she started to enjoy herself. I was trying so hard to get a picture of her smiling to send to Asa, and the only way we could get her to smile was to throw the ball at her. (I'm just realizing how rough this story sounds...) But, I got some pretty good ones. She was really curious about it once she realized it was there. She was pointing at it and trying to get Pompey's attention to show him.
Her hands were little icicles though. There was no way I could get to keep gloves on, so we took breaks and went inside to warm up. But, Emily and I also taught her how to put her hands in her pockets to warm herself up. Doesn't she look so big?!
