-Marley doesn't like to go to bed laying in the baby position anymore. You know, most babies like to lay in their parent's arm to go to sleep? Marley likes to be upright now. She has her tummy against mine and her cheek on my chest. It is so sweet and I actually look forward to putting her to sleep now. It's easy! I just rock her for a little while and then she puts her head down when she's ready. I sing to her and rub her back and she's asleep within five minutes. And I actually enjoy keeping her there for a while. The other day Asa came in and saw us and his first response was, "She is so big!" He's never said that before. That means it must be for real.-We have a new game she loves to play. When I open my mouth, she sticks her hands in and leaves them there until I nibble on it. Then, she yanks her hand out, giggles, and waits for me to open my mouth back up. Repeat. It's so neat that she knows what's going to happen! I can see the anticipation on her face!-I am trying to decide if I still want to get her tongue clipped. I have been reading stuff about it and found out that actually 75% of tongue ties get stretched out and do not cause any problems at all. She has all the sudden started sticking her tongue out all the time lately, and Asa and I realized she can actually stick hers out farther than Asa can- and his is clipped! So, who knows what's happening with that.-We have been having a really hard time getting her to smile an open-mouth smile. She does this really sweet little grin thing now. I have gotten some open-mouth smiles recently, but never when I have the camera out. It's all about the grinning.-I can't feed her laying down unless she is asleep. If she is awake, she is trying to crawl and wiggle away with me still in her mouth. It's aggravating.-She can give kisses sometimes. I pucker up and say "give me a kiss." She gives big, open-mouth kisses covered in drool. They are the best kisses ever.-She now has two teeth. They are both most of the way out and hurt like hell if you get bitten. Baby teeth are sharp! She hasn't bitten me yet while I'm feeding her. It might not happen til those top ones come in.-She hates all her toys. She can have all her toys out and she cries. Then I put something like a phone or package of wipes and she's content for 20 minutes.
I am having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that I will have an EIGHT month old in a few days. Has it seriously been that long? It seems like every month I say that, but I mean it every time. How is it possible? Everyone who comes in the office lately has been saying "She is getting so big!" It was sweet that the first couple of people noticed, but now I just feel like quit reminding me! I want her to stay my baby forever...
